Napa based, East Bay grown
I’m Chloe Olsen, a writer, editor, and content creator based in Napa County. As a local storyteller, I have nearly a decade of experience in turning complex ideas into clear, compelling content for a vast range of audiences. I specialize in writing, editing, research, and project coordination, but I also dabble in marketing and community advocacy projects.
I love helping organizations communicate effectively, streamline information, and create meaningful learning or community-focused experiences. I understand the importance of digital storytelling to add value and nuance to a brand, and I have experience in bringing a human perspective to the work I create. My bread and butter is working with nonprofits—specifically education or disability focused—and I have a particular niche in disability centered narratives and initiatives.

Whether it's a national marketing campaign, collaborating with a local organization, I deliver polished writing thorough diligent research, clear documentation, reliable project support. I bring professionalism, empathy, and organization to the table, and I love helping clients articulate their message, engage their audience, and bring their ideas to life.

What I do
I do a little bit of everything! My work spans higher-education research, nonprofit grant and program support, community journalism, content creation and development, social media strategy, disability consultancy, and more.
In my career as a freelancer, I’ve written for both local and national newspapers, digital and print-only magazines, and worked with numerous community organizations.
I’m also experienced in project management and narrative storytelling, with a detail-oriented approach shaped by years of supporting a wide variety of programs and community-based initiatives.
